I think the compatibility issue may have been due to the fact that the precalc book was a custom UMUC version. The actual course on webtycho has provided pdf versions of the chapters. Once in the course, pearson's site provides an online book. After calling pearson's support and being told that my code for MyMathLab was valid but not compatible for MyMathLab, I asked to be escalated, at which point I was given a different and compatible code. When attempting to register for my class, the pearson site said my code wasn't compatible with the course. For my first math class (precalc), I have no interest in keeping the book (which can be viewed online through MyMathAccess).Īs a follow up, I purchased a (new) purchase code from Amazon. However, each math class requires a MyMathLab access code. This time around, I'm buying books on the cheap. First semester student here, going for my second bachelor's.
